Masterson Homestead Cabin

When William and Eliza Masterson set out on the Oregon Trail in 1851 with their five young children, their destination was the land where Dorris Ranch now sits in Springfield, near the Willamette River. They settled their growing family in a simple, 12-foot-by-16-foot log cabin nestled in the oak savanna.

In addition to the cabin, the Cabin Fever Team created hands-on history projects and activities enhancing the educational experience of students and the community.
